The Friends enjoy a guided tour around around one of our many ancient churches. An opportunity to hear about and bring to life the building and the people who have lived and died through the centuries in times of war, famine, persecution,plague. There is always a good tea afterwards. We have a lunch in May or June usually in one of the many private historic houses of the county giving a chance to enjoy a special visit, hearing the history and enjoying the gardens and grounds on hopefully a glorious summers day On the second Saturday In September there is the sponsored walk/ bike/pony/horse ride ... visiting as many local churches as you can want to in order to raise money for your local church as well as in support the work of the trust as we split the proceeds 50/50 At Christmas time we have a warm up drinks party with plenty of drinks and nibbles and entertainment for the young so that they are not forgotten.
